Our Mission
Arcadia Community Center, located in South Louisville, works to realize the old adage adopted from our international neighbors--that it takes an entire village of dedicated people with different talents and contributions to foster growth within a community. Our mission, therefore, is to partner with the refugee and immigrant groups in our neighborhood and the community at large and, with their help, to provide comprehensive, holistic services that aim to offer educational and social support as families adjust to their new life and hew home in the United States and take a step onto the road of economic well-being.

Our Programs
We offer programming thoughtfully designed for international children, teenagers, and adults. The four focus areas of our programming are:
  • EDUCATION: especially language and literacy
  • THE ARTS: as a medium for comfortable communication and self-expression
  • CROSS-CULTURAL EXCHANGE: validating and celebrating the cultures of the families who utilize our center
  • SYSTEM NAVIGATION: to nurture an understanding of the economic, legal, and social systems of our country

How You Can Help
Arcadia Community Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization with the success of all of our programming made possible by the generous contributions of our donors and supporters.
