Our Mission

Arcadia Community Center partners with refugee and immigrant groups and additional community organizations to provide holistic services that offer educational and social support for new families adjusting to life in the United States. A key focus of the Center is providing dynamic programming for international youth to foster their personal growth and development.

Our Programs
We offer programming thoughtfully designed for international children, teenagers, and adults. The four focus areas of our programming are:
  • EDUCATION: especially language and literacy
  • THE ARTS: as a medium for comfortable communication and self-expression
  • CROSS-CULTURAL EXCHANGE: validating and celebrating the cultures of the families who utilize our center
  • SYSTEM NAVIGATION: to nurture an understanding of the economic, legal, and social systems of our country
How You Can Help
Arcadia Community Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization with the success of all of our programming made possible by the generous contributions of our donors and supporters. We are governed by a volunteer-based board of directors made up of Louisville professionals and partner with numerous school, church, and civic groups that believe in our mission and provide volunteers and in-kind donations to help us continue our efforts.
