William Zocklein, RAAP Coordinator

Will and Muridi I was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1986. My father is George Zocklein, my mother Rebecca. I have eight siblings (three brothers and five sisters), all of whom I love dearly. I moved to Louisville in August 1997 and have lived here ever since. My parents started their own business, "Zocklein and Associates," teaching people how to write grants. I went to Catholic school for ten years and spent three years in Oldham County High. I've skatedboarded for eight years and played baseball ever since I was strong enough to swing a bat. I enjoy traveling; I've driven to California and back, to New York, to New Orleans, Panama City, and D.C. I've been to every major city except New York. I've seen people tackle responsibilities, finishing college and caring for a baby, friends and families fighting to stay above financial waters during a storm, and watched as drugs preyed on the weak. I believe in helping everyone who needs it and intend to devote my life to improving communities and strengthening families. I am currently a member of Americorps serving here at Arcadia Community Center. I look forward to contributing my time and abilities to adolescent refugee youth with a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
